The Dayton Audio SUB series powered subwoofer systems are the perfect addition to any home theater setup, offering thrilling low-frequency effects to enhance your cinematic experience. These subwoofers feature a bottom-firing, flared port, bass-reflex design that reduces port noise and increases bass response, delivering house-shaking power thanks to their long-throw woofers.
The subwoofer amplifier offers a range of connectivity options, including high and low-level inputs, as well as high-level outputs. This allows for easy integration into your existing audio setup. The phase switch and variable 12 dB electronic low-pass filter provide further control over the subwoofer's performance, allowing you to fine-tune the bass to seamlessly blend with your main speakers.
For added convenience, the amplifier includes an auto on/off switch that activates the unit when an input signal is detected. The unobtrusive black vinyl finish of these compact subwoofers ensures they complement any home decor. Onboard connectivity and adjustability make the Dayton Audio SUB series an easy-to-add and easy-to-adjust solution for enhancing the low-end performance of your home theater system.
The line-level inputs allow you to connect the subwoofer amplifier directly to the pre-out or preamplifier outputs, with the signals being summed to mono. This is the preferred method of connection. If you have a mono line-level signal from a "Pro-Logic" or "Dolby Digital" receiver, you can use the right "red" input.
Alternatively, if preamplifier outputs are not available, you can use the high-level (speaker) inputs. The speaker-level inputs can be connected directly to the amplifier by inserting the speaker wire. The high-level outputs can then be used to connect the main speakers or another powered subwoofer with high-level inputs.
The crossover frequency control, which is continuously variable from 40 Hz to 140 Hz at 12 dB/octave, allows you to set the optimal frequency range for your audio setup. The gain control adjusts the output level of the subwoofer, enabling you to blend the bass frequencies with the other speakers seamlessly. The phase switch, selectable between 0° and 180°, assists in subwoofer placement to achieve the most apparent bass output.
With a range of sizes and power outputs, the Dayton Audio SUB series offers a solution for a variety of home theater and listening room setups. Whether you choose the 8", 10", 12", or 15" model, you can enjoy realistic, room-shaking bass effects that will immerse you in the cinematic experience.
